Arizona State University and Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University Launch International Microcredential
Arizona State University (ASU) and Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University (DCCU) will jointly organize the online microcredential “The Declaration of Independence: 250 Years Later”, scheduled for 9–20 March 2026.
The program will be delivered by Dr. Matthew Slaboch, Prof. Ileana Alexandra Orlic, PhD, and Prof. Nicoleta Hegheș, PhD, bringing together academic expertise from both institutions.
The development of this collaboration has been further supported by Prof. Marja-Liisa Tenhunen, Vice Rector for Internationalization at Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, whose efforts continue to advance internationalization and create new opportunities for academic exchange and global engagement.
Through lectures and discussions, participants will explore the historical significance and enduring influence of the Declaration of Independence, while engaging with contemporary perspectives on democracy, liberty, and human rights.
This microcredential reflects the shared commitment of ASU and DCCU to academic excellence, international cooperation, and innovative learning experiences.
